The Twitter Files remains one of the strangest series of stories we’ve had in media in the past few years. It is genuinely good to know that the government was actively contacting Twitter with frequent requests to remove accounts. What hasn’t been good out of the Twitter Files is that the story has gotten lost in the noise. The Twitter Files should be bringing up questions of transparency. Instead, democrats feel the story attacks them. Republicans feels like this proves that intelligence agencies are working with social media to harm conservatives. What was a great series of stories about transparency has been twisted significantly.
